Gleann Eallaigh Naomh Seosamh Club Notes w/c 1 August

Training for the U8s and U 10s (boys and girls) continues on Thursday evening 6.30 to 7.30. However, due to the U 16 girl’s game training will be on the MUGGA, hence bring suitable footwear. The U 10s had a very enjoyable blitz in Castlederg last Saturday. Many thanks to the St Eugene’s Club for their hospitality. Well done to the senior ladies who defeated Omagh in their last league game of the season on Friday evening. Congratulation to the team on a very positive season in Division 1. They now continue to train in preparation for the All Ireland 7 a side series. The under 16 girls begin their league campaign this Thursday night (4th August) against Omagh St. Enda’s in Plumbridge, with throw in at 7pm. All support is welcome. Many thanks to Alfie McGarvey for his generosity in sponsoring a new kit for the under 16 girls. Tyrone/Mayo tickets distribution on Thursday night 9pm in clubrooms. Match will be a sell out and county board have advised vast majority of tickets will be upper deck and Davin stand. There will be a men’s committee meeting on Monday 15th August at 8.00PM in the Clubrooms and all committee members are expected to attend. We are now finalising our Jigs & Reels list of entries and we still require some of our senior footballers to come on board. Funds raised from this event will help to cover some of the substantial running costs of the club including pitch maintenance and provision of showering facilities, lighting etc. If you are willing to take part, please contact Lucy or Declan immediately. The Club would like to congratulate Sean O Kane whose Donegal team defeated the Galway Ladies in last Monday’s nail biting Senior Championship tie in Longford. Also, good luck to Gerard O Hagan and his team in their attempt to climb Mount Errigal and Croagh Patrick on Saturday, all in aid of a very worthwhile cause, the Peter Mc Verry Trust. Glenelly St Joseph’s would like to offer our sincere condolences to the families of Maureen Brogan and Marie Devine, Plumbridge. Go ndeana Dia trocaire ar a n-anamacha
