Well done to the senior ladies who defeated Sperrin Og on Saturday evening after a very competitive game. Training continues of Wednesday evening at 8 pm. The girls face Cappagh this Friday 17th June at 8.15 pm in the preliminary round of the Championship in Drumragh. Well done to the mothers and others who hosted Drumragh and Saval for a blitz on Sunday morning. Training continues for this team on Monday evenings. The under 12s have a Go-games fixture against neighbours Clann na nGael on Thursday 16th June at 7pm in Plumbridge. Training continues on Thursday evening 6.30pm to 7.30pm for all U6s, U8s and U 10s (boys and girls). The U8s have a blitz this Saturday; further details to be provided at training. Many thanks to Castlederg St Eugene’s for their hospitality when hosting last Saturday’s U 10 blitz. The Tyrone Summer Camp takes place on the 18th to 21st July and is open to all children between 5 and 14 years of age. Please ensure to have your Summer Camp application form submitted before 24th June to avoid a late registration fee; children can also register online at http://tyronegaa.ie/summercamps2016. St Peter’s Primary School Plumbridge are hosting a ‘Bring & Buy Sale’ and Coffee Afternoon in the Primary School on Wednesday 22 June from 1pm – 3pm in aid of school funds- everyone welcome! There will be a short Committee meeting on Thursday at 7.30 and all members are urged to attend. The main item on the agenda is preparing for a Funday Sunday in mid-July so if you have any good ideas, we would like to hear from you. Whilst attention is now focused on raising funds for the Club we would like to extend a Cead Mile Failte to any new members of Cairde Ghleann Eallaigh who have joined us recently. And to anyone who has still to join please do so, please contact any Committee member as soon as possible. There are still a few spaces for our Jigs & Reels that is scheduled for mid-October and we are making a special appeal to some of the footballing fraternity to don their dancing shoes and step up to the mark. Important dates to remember are – Funday Sunday 10th July, our Golf Classic in Newtownstewart Saturday 10th September, and Jigs & Reels 22nd October. We would like to thank the Mothers & Others who provided the refreshments for last Sunday’s matches in Plumbridge. Congratulations to Alice Bradley, who won our Half Time Draw last Sunday, and also to Donny Mc Bride, our Friend of the Month for June. Special word of mention to St Peter’s Primary School who participated in the Tyrone County Finals in Garvaghey – a magnificent achievement by one and all! Sincere condolences are extended to the McCullagh Family, Omagh.
