Gleann Eallaigh Naomh Seosamh Club Notes w/c 29 June

The Seniors and Reserves have home fixtures against Drumragh on Sunday. Senior game at 2.15pm, Reserve at 3.45pm. Minors play Aghyaran in Urney on Thursday evening at 7.30pm in the league semi-final. Unfortunately the U16s were defeated in their 1st League Game by Strabane 3.14 to 1.12. Training continues on Thursday at 6.30pm for all U6s, U8s and U 10s (boys and girls); all players welcome. The U 10s had a blitz last Saturday hosted by Eskra; many thanks to the Eskra Club for their hospitality. As the Seniors are playing at home on Sunday it is hoped to have our 7-10 year olds play at the half time interval of the Senior Game on Sunday; children wishing to play to be at the clubrooms for 2.15pm. Ladies matches begin again on the 10th July, training continues on Wednesday at 7.45pm. Training for our Under-16 girls will continue this Sunday evening at 6.00pm in Plumbridge. We are currently appealing to parents and coaches to please step forward and help out with our U-12s girls team – please contact Lucy or Declan ASAP. The Forms for the Pig Race will be released this week and we ask everyone to make a special effort to sell their few lines as the Club urgently requires funding at this time – this is our only major fund-raiser to date this year. Next festival committee meeting will be the 6th of July where any volunteers for this year’s festival are asked to attend this information-filled evening at 8pm. Anyone interested in helping with hospitality for this year’s festival is asked to get in touch with Dolores or Lucy asap. If anyone has any ideas or proposals to raise funds for the club over the festival period, then we want to see you at this meeting on July 6th. Please make a special effort to attend. Training continues on Thursday at 6.30 for all U6s, U8s and U 10s (boys and girls); all players welcome. Ladies Under 14 championship postponed until September. We would like to thank those who came along to the Clubhouse clean-up last Monday evening. A terrific job well done. Sympathy is extended to the family of Patricia Coyle’s father, Eddie (Curran) from Strabane, who sadly passed away last weekend.
