Gleann Eallaigh Naomh Seosamh Club Notes w/c 6 April

The Seniors and Reserves commence their league campaigns at home on Sunday against Castlederg. Senior game at 2.15pm, Reserve 3.45pm. Well done to the minors who defeated Beragh on a scoreline 6.10 to 3.15 on Tuesday. They train again on Thursday at 8pm in Plumbridge. The U14s have a game on Wednesday at 6.45pm v Beragh. The Club would like to thank everyone who participated in the clean-up last Saturday afternoon. Your efforts were very much appreciated. Thanks also to everyone who helped organise, attended, or bought tickets for the Film Evening in Plumbridge Hall last Sunday evening. It was certainly a very novel idea, and hopefully this will be the first of many such ventures. We are hoping to welcome ou Under-Age Players to take part in an exhibition Match during the Half-Time interval of our Senior Game this weekend. Please come along and cheer on the “Glenelly Stars of the future!” They will really appreciate your support. Contact Fergal McAneney for further details. Also we hope to initiate a Half-Time Draw during the proceedings, and your support would be very welcome. With the introduction of the Match Clock we are now inviting offers of interest from anyone wishing to purchase prime advertising space above and below our scoreboard area – this would be for a two-year period. Any person or business who may be interested please contact John Conway by Friday 17th April as we would like to have all hoardings prepared in time for our next Home Match. Also if anyone would like to purchase a side-line hoarding for a two-year period contact John or Damien immediately. There will be a short but very important meeting for ALL youth Coaches next Sunday evening at 6.00PM in the Clubhouse. It is essential that all coaches should attend. We are currently looking for someone to represent the Club as a senior referee for Ladies Matches. It is vital that Glenelly GFC has a representative in this field. If you’d like the challenge then please contact Lucy or Eunan as soon as possible. Congratulations to our Minor girls who had a very convincing win against Castlederg last Monday in Plumbridge. An excellent performance by everyone concerned. Training for senior and minor girls Wednesday 7.45pm. Festival meeting Thursday 30th April 8pm. Ladies committee meeting 13th April 7pm. Congratulations to Ruairi McConnell & Meabh and Patricia-Anne & Stephen on their recent weddings.
