There are no adult fixtures this weekend. The seniors lost out to Derrytresk last weekend. Training for the U13 team continues on Monday evenings at 6.30pm. Last week they played Clann na Gael and maintained their unbeaten run with a comfortable victory. This week they play Gortin away at 6.30pm. Transport leaving the clubrooms at 6pm. The final game of the league stages is at home to Urney on Wednesday. All players to be at the clubrooms no later than 6.15pm. Training continues on Thursday evening commencing at 6.30pm for the U6s, U8s, U10s boys and girls. Congratulations to the U10s who won the Brian Penrose Memorial Perpetual Cup last Saturday. Having overcome a very good Strabane Sigersons team in the semi-final, Glenelly edged out hosts Aghayarn in the final to lift the Cup. Many thanks to the Aghayarn Club and the Penrose Family for the invitation and hospitality received. Well done also to the U 8s who participated successfully in the Go-Games Blitz which was held in Garvaghey on Saturday past. It was excellent that the Club were able to participate (with good numbers) in both events; thanks to all involved in making this possible especially the parents. This Saturday (20 Sept) the U 10s have their final Go- Games Blitz of the season which is to be held in Garvaghey commencing at 11.15; further details to be provided at training on Thursday evening. The Dinner Dance and Festival Draw will take place in The Shepherd’s Rest on Saturday 15th November. Tickets will be on sale shortly. Could all trophies be brought back for engraving before the dinner dance. The final batch of Draw Tickets will be released to our Teams this weekend and all members are asked to make one last effort to sell their allocation. If anyone feels that he/she would like to sell a few tickets in order to improve facilities for our youth please, contact any member of our Draw Committee as soon as possible. Anyone wishing to enrol in our Irish Language Class must contact Maureen Kearney before Monday 22nd September. Thanks to all clubs who attended the ladies 7s blitz and for everyone who helped. Anyone that wants to get involved with scor should contact Noel O Kane or Maureen Kearney. There will be a meeting in the clubrooms at 6pm on Sunday 21st September. The club extends our sympathy to Gerard Nicholas on the death of his sister Mamie in the USA. The club also extends its sympathies to the McCullagh and Blee families on their recent bereavements.
