Both the Minor team and the U14 team begin their league campaigns this weekend with home games. The U14s play Castlederg on Saturday afternoon in Plumbridge at 2.45pm. All players to be at the clubrooms at 2.15pm- Please note the change of time and venue for this fixture. The minors play Beragh also at home at 4pm. All players to be at the clubrooms at 3.30pm. Congratulations to Omagh CBS and in particular to Conal Furey and Eamonn McConnell on reaching the MacRory Cup final. Training for the U14 team will continue on Tuesday evenings at the earlier time of 6.30pm and the Minors will train on Wednesdays at 7pm. U14 girls training this Thursday night is cancelled. The next training will be on Tuesday 11th march from 6.30pm to 7.45pm. There will be a friendly against Cappagh on Thursday 13th March in Killyclogher. The girls are to be at the pitch at 6.15pm to make their way to Killyclogher for 6.45pmThe club are seeking tenders for grounds work at the club grounds to include making the ground ready for concrete, construction of manholes, building and kerbing. The club is seeking an official Photographer & Videographer for the incoming year please contact Laurence McCullagh. There will be a Club Development workshop on the evening of 23rd March 2014. We wish to extend an invitation for you to join us in this workshop to plan the future for our club. Please come and have your say to help shape the future for what is a vital part of our local community. Further details to follow. The club will have the annual St Patrick’s Day church gate collection for the promotion of Irish language, culture and music after mass on St Patrick’s Day. Well done to all our Scor participants who represented the club in the Scor. Club membership will be collected on Friday 7th March at 9pm in the clubrooms and on Sunday morning after mass. You can also pay on Monday 10th march at 8pm. Monday 31st March at 8pm will be the last date for payment. Registration fees are the same as last year. It is the responsibility of respective managers to ensure each player is registered by 31st March. Closing date for completed vetting forms from managers to be returned to Declan McCullagh is Friday 7th March 2014 at 7.00pm in clubrooms. The club extends our sympathies to the Carolan Family Cranagh, Dooher Family Strabane and McCallion family Omagh on their recent bereavements.

The first home game for the minor team is on Saturday 8th March at 4pm against Beragh. On the same day the Under 14 team begin their league campaign with an away fixture against Castlederg. Transport arrangements will be provided to parents closer to the date. Training for the minor team will continue on Wednesday evenings at 7pm while training for the Under 14 team will be on Tuesday evenings at 6.45pm. The next committee meeting takes place at 7.30pm on Monday 3rd March- please contact Laurence McCullagh if unable to attend. The ladies meeting takes place at 7pm. Thanks to all who supported run/walk and cake sale on Sunday. Training for senior ladies continues on Friday. Well done to Yvonne McGlinchey who is through to the Senior Scor Final in the recitation discipline. For the second year in a row, our Novelty Act are through to the Senior Scor Final. Congratulations to all involved and good luck to our acts in the Final this weekend. The Final takes place on Sunday in Killeeshil Community Centre at 3pm. All support is welcome. The next outing is a league tie with St. Macartan’s this Sunday (2nd March) at 1.30pm in Plumbridge. All support welcome. Any coaches who have not yet received vetting clearance that there will be a for-filling night on Friday night at 8pm in the Clubrooms. Coaches who have not been vetted cannot participate in Youth Coaching this year- no exceptions- and it is the responsibility of each individual to bring along the appropriate documentation on the night. Senior Training continues on Friday night at 7.30pm SHARP on the pitch. Players should contact contact team manager Seamus Kirk if they are unable to attend.Thanks to all who supported the Youth Presentation on Sunday evening in Cranagh Hall. A special word of thanks to our Special Guest Michael Kennedy, Glenelly Credit Union for sponsoring and to the Youth Committee for organising. The Foundation Course will be held on Saturday 22nd Feb running from 9.30AM – 4.30PM. Bring indoor and outdoor gear on Saturday. All coaches who registered are required to attend. The boy’s minor league will begin on Saturday 1st February. The Club walk/run/cake sale takes place on Sunday. Registration is at 12 noon. Primary school children are asked to fill out sponsor sheets with draw for those who return completed sheets and complete walk on the day. Those of baking background (cakes/scones/tray bakes) and wishing to donate to the cake sale should bring their baked/bought items along at 12noon. There will be a Festival meeting on Thursday night (20th February) at 7:45pm. Ladies training continues as normal all returnees/ newbies invited. The minor ladies play Carrickmore at home on Saturday 22nd February 2014 at 11am. The steward awareness course takes place on Wednesday (19/2/14) in Glenelly house at 7:30pm. The semi-final of scor sinsear is on Friday night (21st February) at 8pm in Drumquin. Please come along and support our ballad group, recitation act and novelty act. There will be a meeting to fill in the Vetting Forms on Friday 28th February at 8.00PM in Clubrooms. Anyone who has not yet been vetted must bring along the necessary documentation on the night. Anyone involved in the managing/training of underage players must be vetted – no exceptions. The next committee meeting takes place on Monday 3rd March at 8.00pm. The club extends our sympathy to Mary Carolan (Joseph’s wife) who had a close relative buried in England during the week.

The Youth Presentation takes place in Cranagh Hall on Sunday evening at 6pm. All parents and youth players are invited to attend. Registration for the year will be available on the night. Training for the minor team continues on Tuesday at 7pm. The minor league will begin on Saturday 1st February. Training for the under 14 team will begin on Saturday, weather permitting. Parents will be contacted with details. The under 14 league will begin on Saturday 8th March. Team Managers who require access to pitch this month must immediately fill in the appropriate forms placed on the Club Notice Board in the Committee Rooms – stating times, duration, and contact numbers. Anyone who wishes to take part in the Club Stewarding Course in Glenelly House on Wednesday 19th February must contact John Conway as soon as possible. There will be a brief meeting for anyone interested in playing for the U14 girls this year on Friday 21st February at 6.30pm in the clubrooms. This will be an opportunity to meet managers and get training underway. All new players welcome. There will be a Club walk/run/cake sale on 23rd February. The Youth Presentation is to be held in Cranagh Hall on 16th February at 6pm. All parents and youth players are invited to attend. Registration for the year will be available on the night. The Irish Busary scheme is now open with forms available at Tyrone Gaa Centre, Garvaghy. Completed application forms to be returned to Omagh District Council by 5pm on Friday 14th February. The first round of Scor is to be held in St Eugene’s Hall, Newtownstewart on Saturday 8th February 5pm. Good luck to all our participants. There is a quiz to be held on Friday 7th February in Leo’s at 10pm. Entry will be £5 per person. The advertising hoardings/signs around the pitch are up for renewal. Any interested parties please contact the Club Secretary Laurence McCullagh for details. There is a Steward Awareness course available in Glenelly House on 19th February at 7.30pm. There will be a Youth Committee meeting this Sunday, 26th January in the clubrooms at 7PM. This is to organise the Youth Presentation. The Youth Presentation will take place on Sunday 16th February in Cranagh Hall at 6pm. All parents and youth players are invited to attend. There will be a meeting for all players who intend to play senior and reserve football this year in Plumbridge Parochial Hall at 8.30pm on Friday night. There will be a grounds meeting on Sunday after mass in the clubrooms for grounds committee and anyone who would like to help with grounds. Anyone who has suffered an injury this season should contact Bryan Bradley who has been appointed as injury coordinator. There will be a Foundation Football Course on Saturday 22nd February in Garvaghey. A Child Protection Course is scheduled for Friday 21st February in Garvaghey commencing at 7.00pm. It is compulsory that you attend both courses to complete the Foundation Course. The club are seeking to fill the position of Senior Team manager. Anyone interested in the post should contact Michael Nicholas on email via drumnaspar before 5pm on Monday 20th January. There will be a meeting in the clubrooms this Sunday at 7pm to organise youth coaching/management for the incoming season. Anyone interested in being involved in any capacity is asked to attend. This meeting has been moved from Friday evening.
The EGM took place on Sunday evening with a turnout of 75 members and supporters in attendance. The first committee meeting takes place on Monday 20th January.
The next festival meeting will be Tuesday 21st January in the clubrooms at 7.45pm, all new volunteers for committee are welcome. Anyone wishing to take part in the Traditional Irish Music or Quiz of the Senior Scor is asked to contact Noel O’Kane or Maureen Kearney as soon as possible. There will be a St Brigid’s Cross Making workshop in the clubrooms on Thursday 30th January 2014 at 7.30pm. Everyone is welcome and tea and light refreshments will be served.
