The final membership collection nights for 2015 will be held this weekend at the clubrooms. Members can pay on Friday night (27th) from 9.30pm to 10pm, or on Monday night (2nd) from 8pm to 8.30pm. Membership rates are unchanged from previous years. Badoney Minor team continued their preparation for the beginning of the League with games against Cappagh and Donaghmore. Both proved to be useful and competitive games. The first league game has been postponed due the MaCrory cup semi-final.. Good luck to Conal Furey and Eamonn and Barry McConnell who are members of the Omagh CBS MacRory Cup panel. The Under 14 Team played Carrickmore on Saturday. Thanks to the Carrickmore club for their hospitality afterwards. It was most appreciated on a very cold afternoon. The U14 team continue their preparations for the start of the league with a game against Claudy Co Derry on Saturday. Arrangements will be provided to players at training and to parents by text. The U14 League begins on Saturday 7th March with a home game against Kildress. After the weekend we now have 26 people left in Last Man Standing. The next round of fixtures will be played on the 3rd/4th of March. See club Facebook for more details.The Men’s monthly meeting has been postponed until Sunday 8th March at 6.00pm. Many thanks to those managers who have already completed the Fixture Sheets/ Training schedules in the Clubrooms. Anyone who has yet to fill in their details please do so this weekend. The first of our Fun Quizzes takes place in Peter Watts on Friday night 6th March. First question is at 10.00PM sharp and everyone welcome. Our committee members will shortly be embarking on a sale of squares for our "Cow Pat" competition that will coincide with our first home game of the season. The winner will receive £1000. Squares will be £10 each and you are asked to support this very important fundraiser. Could all Vetting Forms that are available in Sean’s Shop please be returned to the Clubrooms this Friday night at 7.00PM. It is vital that all coaches and managers have these completed – along with photocopied documents- in good time for the incoming season. Glenelly & Gortin have amalgamated from U14 to U18 level from 2015 onwards and will be known collectively as Both Domhnaigh – a name synomonous with the Parish of both Clubs.

The Badoney U14 team had their first outing on Sunday with a very useful game against Donaghmore. Training continues on Tuesday evening at 6.30pm in Gortin. The U14s play Carrickmore on Saturday. Arrangements will be provided to players at training. Next Saturday 28th February they have a final game before the beginning of the league against Claudy. They begin their league campaign on Saturday 7th March with a home game against Kildress. Venue to be confirmed next week. The Badoney minor team continue their preparations for the start of the league with two games this week against Cappagh and Donaghmore. Arrangements for both games will be provided by their coaches. The Minor League begins for Badoney with an away game against Owen Roes on Sunday 1st March. Venue to be confirmed next week. The Club are urgently seeking a sponsor for a set of jerseys for our Reserve Team. If you would like to advertise your business on our jerseys for the next five years please contact any Committee Member as soon as possible. The Club would urge everyone to support the Glenelly Fun Run on Saturday morning at 9.30AM as it represents one of the main fundraising events for our Ladies this year. £10 entry with plenty of Spot prizes to be won! The club’s Last Man Standing Fundraiser Entry Forms are available from all Senior and Reserve Players and Sean McCullagh’s shop. Please complete the entry form and return to any senior or reserve player, or leave in Sean McCullagh’s shop, with the £10 entry fee by Friday 6th February. The next committee meeting takes place on Friday evening at 7.00PM in the Clubrooms. Full turnout expected. Festival meeting Sunday 6.45pm at the clubrooms. Thanks to everyone in the Grounds Committee who helped tidy up last weekend and those who facilitated and attended the St Brigid’s Cross-Making Evening in the Clubrooms last Saturday night. Anyone interested in coaching etc this year will need to complete a Vetting Application Form. These can be collected in the Clubrooms on Sunday at 7.00Pm or will also be available in Sean’s Shop throughout the week. Completed forms must be returned to Clubrooms on Friday 13th February at 8.00PM sharp. It is vital that these forms are completed in line with our Child Protection Policy. Meeting for all minor girls and parents on Sunday at 6.30pm at the clubrooms to discuss upcoming year. Last Man Standing Entry forms are available from all senior and reserve players. Membership rates for 2015 remain the same as in prior years. Adult £35, Students & Senior citizens £15, U-16 £10. The family rate is £70 for 2 adults and all children U-16. The club will be holding membership collection nights up to end of February only. First collection night will be Saturday 31 January, from 7.45pm to 8.15pm, in the clubrooms.
The New Club Officer Training Day will take place on Saturday 24th January from 10am to 1pm at Holy Trinity College, Cookstown. This training offers club officers the chance to learn about key roles and responsibilities of their specific position. Also, there is a Club Development Course taking place on Saturday 7th February in Garvaghey. Anyone who is intending to manage or coach our teams this year is recommended to attend the following courses:(1) Foundation Award Courses -24th January – Melvin Sports Complex Strabane.
