Seniors and Reserves have away fixtures v Tattyreagh on Sunday. Reserve game at 1pm, Seniors at 2.30pm. Both Domhnaigh Under 13s put in a fantastic performance on Monday beating neighbours Clann na Gael in convincing fashion. Jigs & Reels continue in Cranagh on Thursday nights, and Plumbridge on Monday evenings – starting times 7.30PM (sharp).Tickets for the event will shortly be on sale, so watch press and social media for further details. Training for the U8s and U 10s (boys and girls) continues on Thursday evening 6.30 to 7.30pm. The U8s have a blitz this weekend most likely in Strabane; further details of the arrangements will be provided at training. Well done to the under 16 girls who had a very successful week in their league campaign. They defeated Omagh St. Enda’s 6-04 to 4-04 and Castlederg 7-09 to 2-03. The Junior Championship Quarter Final v Tattyreagh takes place on Saturday in Carrickmore at 4pm. Please note that training for the U8s and U 10s (boys and girls) this Thursday (8th Sept) is on the MUGGA at 6.30pm to 7.30pm; Children to bring suitable footwear. Men’s Committee Meeting takes place this Sunday evening at 7.00pm in Glenelly House. All Committee members are requested to attend. As our Golf Classic is just around the corner it is very important that all committee members return their £100 sponsorship to Damien or Eamonn by Sunday night. This request applies to all 2016 committee members. Many thanks to all of the Jigs & Reels dancers who turned up for our first rehearsal last Monday night. Practices will continue in Cranagh on Thursday nights, and Plumbridge on Monday evenings – starting times 7.30PM (sharp) With the huge numbers of eager participants we can certainly look forward to a fun-filled night of dancing on Saturday 22nd October. The seniors and reserves have away fixtures against Clogher on Sunday. Reserve game at 2.15pm, Senior game at 3.45pm. Both Domhnaigh U16 Team had mixed fortunes during the week. They were defeated by Edendork in the Championship by 5 points but defeated Drumragh in the League Playoff on a scoreline of 4-9 to 2-13 to progress to the next round. They play Moortown on Wednesday evening 31st August in Moortown at 7pm. Transport leaving Gortin Hall at 5.30pm. Training for the U8s and U 10s (boys and girls) continues on Thursday evening 6.30 to 7.30pm. Congratulations to Rory Kennedy who played for the Tyrone U16 Development Squad on Saturday against Kildare, Cork and Mayo in Garvaghey. Glenelly St Joseph’s are now making a final push to sign up those last few Cairde Members, so if you would like to be part of developing our facilities, as well as promoting fun, fitness and friendship amongst our youth, then please join up immediately. Both Domhnaigh U16s are away to Edendork tonight in the first round of the U16 championship at 7pm. Training for the U8s and U10s (boys and girls) continues on Thursday evening 6.30 to 7.30pm. The U8s have a blitz this weekend; further details of the arrangements will be provided at training. Comhgairdeas to the Coyle and Mc Bride families who travelled to the All-Ireland Fleadh in Ennis last weekend. A fantastic weekend of Craic agus Ceol by all accounts. The Jigs & Reels finally gets under way this Thursday night (25th) at 7.45 in Plumbridge Hall – there are still a few places available so feel free to come along, if only for the fitness and the fun. The Glenelly Golf Classic has been re-arranged for Saturday 8th October so keep that date free in your diary. Lots of help will be required on the day. The club sends our best wishes to Mark McCullagh & Clare; and Cathal McConnell & Gemma on their respective wedding days. Training for under 16 girls continues on Monday and Thursday evenings at 7.30 pm. Last week’s under 16 girls game against Sperrin óg was postponed until a later date. Hard luck to Siobhan Sheerin and the Tyrone senior ladies who were beat by Clare last Saturday in the All Ireland Intermediate Championship.

The Seniors face Errigal Ciaran in the Junior Championship at 5.30pm on Sunday in Killyclogher. Training for the U8s and U 10s (boys and girls) continues on Thursday evening 6.30 to 7.30. The U8s had a very enjoyable blitz last weekend in Strabane; many thanks to Strabane Sigersons for their hospitality. The U 10s have a blitz this weekend which is to be hosted by Glenelly. Further details of the arrangements will be provided at training. Preparations are well under way for our upcoming Jigs & Reels and all entrants are asked to meet in Plumbridge Hall on Thursday 25th August at 8.00PM. Our list of dancers can now be viewed on Facebook or on our Club Website www.glenellygaa.com Congratulations to Maureen Kearney who won our half-time draw last Sunday, and also to Ronan O Kane our Friend Of The Month for August. Seniors and Reserves have home fixtures on Sunday against Drumquin. Reserves 2.15pm, Seniors 3.45pm. Both Domhnaigh U16s defeated Netwownstewart 5-11 to 3-14 on Monday night. Training for the U8s and U 10s (boys and girls) continues on Thursday evening 6.30 to 7.30 (at the pitch). The U8s have a blitz this weekend most likely to be in Strabane. Further details of the arrangements will be provided at training. The under 12 girls are away to Badoney this Thursday, 11th Aug. The under 16 girls will play Loughmacrory this Thursday 11th August in Loughmacrory at 7 pm. Training continues on Mondays for mothers and other at 7pm and under 16 girls at 7.30pm. Preparations are well under way for our Golf Classic that will take place in Newtownstewart on Saturday 24th September. Watch local press and Club Website for further details. The first meeting of our Jigs& Reels competitors will take place on Thursday 25th August in Plumbridge at 7.30pm. Whilst we are very pleased with the numbers who have volunteered to take part, we are still on the lookout for a few more competitors, so please contact Lucy or Declan immediately. If you’ve always wanted to take part in an event like this, then this is your chance- time is running out! The Club would like to congratulate Gerard and his team who successfully completed the Two Mountain challenge last weekend. Well done to one and all. Glenelly’s monthly committee meeting takes place this Monday evening at 8.00 in the Clubrooms and a full turnout is expected. A short development meeting takes place this Sunday at 1pm in clubrooms new volunteers required.

Training for the U8s and U 10s (boys and girls) continues on Thursday evening 6.30 to 7.30. However, due to the U 16 girl’s game training will be on the MUGGA, hence bring suitable footwear. The U 10s had a very enjoyable blitz in Castlederg last Saturday. Many thanks to the St Eugene’s Club for their hospitality. Well done to the senior ladies who defeated Omagh in their last league game of the season on Friday evening. Congratulation to the team on a very positive season in Division 1. They now continue to train in preparation for the All Ireland 7 a side series. The under 16 girls begin their league campaign this Thursday night (4th August) against Omagh St. Enda’s in Plumbridge, with throw in at 7pm. All support is welcome. Many thanks to Alfie McGarvey for his generosity in sponsoring a new kit for the under 16 girls. Tyrone/Mayo tickets distribution on Thursday night 9pm in clubrooms. Match will be a sell out and county board have advised vast majority of tickets will be upper deck and Davin stand. There will be a men’s committee meeting on Monday 15th August at 8.00PM in the Clubrooms and all committee members are expected to attend. We are now finalising our Jigs & Reels list of entries and we still require some of our senior footballers to come on board. Funds raised from this event will help to cover some of the substantial running costs of the club including pitch maintenance and provision of showering facilities, lighting etc. If you are willing to take part, please contact Lucy or Declan immediately. The Club would like to congratulate Sean O Kane whose Donegal team defeated the Galway Ladies in last Monday’s nail biting Senior Championship tie in Longford. Also, good luck to Gerard O Hagan and his team in their attempt to climb Mount Errigal and Croagh Patrick on Saturday, all in aid of a very worthwhile cause, the Peter Mc Verry Trust. Seniors and Reserves have home fixtures on Sunday against Dregish, Reserves 2.15pm, Seniors 3.45pm. Both Domhnaigh U16s defeated Loughmacrory 6.9 to 1.8 on Monday night. Both Domhnaigh U16s play Drumragh on Monday in Plumbridge at 7.30pm. Commiserations to our Senior Ladies who bowed out of the Championship last Monday evening in Loughmacrory. It was a very spirited performance against a very strong Errigal Ciaran team. Attention now turns to our next match away to Omagh Ladies on Friday night at 7.30pm. There will be a Ladies Committee Meeting next Monday night ,1st August, at 8.00PM in the clubrooms and all members are asked to attend. We are now finalising our Jigs and Reels list of entrants, and so we are making one final appeal, particularly to some of our senior footballers, to throw their hats into the ring. The list of dancers will shortly appear on our Club Website www.glenellygaa.comand training will commence towards the end of August. Congratulations to Orla Harkin who was our Cairde Friend Of The Month for July. Please note that there is no training for the U 6s this week due to the unavailability of coaches. Seniors and Reserves return to league action away to Owen Roes on Sunday. Reserves 2.15pm and Seniors 3.45pm. Well done to the senior ladies who defeated Clan na nGael on Saturday evening in a tough encounter. Training continues on Wednesday evenings at 8 pm. Second round of the championship takes place against Errigal Ciaran this Monday 25th July in Killyclogher with a 7.30 pm throw in, all support welcome. The seniors are also away to Omagh St. Enda’s in a league fixture next Fridayevening, time to be confirmed. Training continues for under 16 girls on Monday and Thursday evenings at 7.30 pm. The under 12 girls have training on Tuesday evenings at 7pm in Plumbridge. Training for mothers and others continues on a Monday evening from 7-8 pm. Due to the Tyrone Summer Camp being held this week there will be no training on Thursevening for the U6s, U8s & U 10s. The U8s have a blitz this weekend; further details will be provided at the Tyrone Summer Camp on Thursday. The Club are asking Aisling Mc Connell, whose Pig won our recent Funday Sunday Porkchop Derby, to contact any Committee Member in order to claim her rightful prize money. Finally, congratulations to Orla Harkin, our Cairde Friend Of The Month for July.
