The Youth Presentation for 2015 will take place this Sunday at 5.00pm in Cranagh Hall for all our young players from U 6 to U 16 with guest speakers Siobhan Sheerin & Tyrone’s Mark Bradley. Certificates and medals will be awarded to all children who attended training (Thursday evenings) or played in the Sat morning blitzes. Medals also to be awarded to those who played / represented their school / Tyrone Dev squads. It would be appreciated if Parents would assist in the provision of refreshments. Sincere appreciation to everyone who made the long journey to Cahir last weekend to cheer on the Ladies. A special word of thanks to those who organised transport, accommodation, food stops etc to ensure that everything ran so smoothly throughout the weekend. The AGMs have been pencilled in for mid-January and the Club Dinner Dance has been arranged for Saturday 30th January 2016 in the Fir Trees Strabane. More details to follow. Please note that the pitch has now closed for the season to allow essential repair work to commence. Winter programme for all boys players intending to play U16 and U14 football next year will begin on Saturday 28 November in Gortin Community Centre 4-5pm. All players to be present for 3:45pm. Unfortunately the U16 girls narrowly lost out in League final on Saturday to Cappagh after a very good and committed performance. Thanks to all the people involved with team preparation over the season; it was a great achievement for this group of girls to make both finals in their grade and bodes well for the future of the club in what has been an outstanding year – well done.

Senior Ladies now travel to face Cahir of Tipperary in the All Ireland Intermediate Club Semi-Final fixed for Sunday 22nd November at 1.30pm. If you are interested in a supporter’s bus down to Cahir please contact Lucy asap to reserve your place, £15 for adult seat and £8 for Under 18’s. Under 16’s must be supervised by a responsible adult. Glenelly flags are now available to purchase in Sean Watts shop ahead of this weekend’s semi-final. Kevin Corey memorial tournament was postponed this weekend for under 16 girls due to weather conditions rearrangement will be sorted in due course. Many thanks to all that donated and came to the night at the races on Friday 13th it was a great success and a big help for the Senior Ladies travelling this weekend. Best Wishes to the U16 Girls who play in the Final of the League v Cappagh this Saturday 21 November in Strabane at 2.00pm. Club Youth Presentation is scheduled to take place on Sunday 29 November commencing at 5.00pm in Cranagh Hall; further details to be provided next week.

Congratulations to our Senior Ladies who were crowned Ulster Intermediate Club Champions following a 4-8 to 0-7 victory over Donaghmoyne on Sunday in Killyclogher. They now travel to face Cahir of Tipperary in the All Ireland semi-final provisionally fixed for Sunday 22nd November at 1.30pm. If you are interested in a supporter’s bus down to Cahir please contact Lucy asap to reserve your place by Sunday 15th November at 9pm Congratulations to Clan Na Gael U 13 boys who won the Kevin Corey Memorial Shield having overcome Owen Roes in the final. Many thanks to the Corey Family (Marie & Hannah), the Friends of St Josephs and to everyone who helped on the day. Commiserations to the U16 girls who narrowly lost out to Cappagh in the final of the championship on Friday night past. The U16 girls league final is scheduled to take place on Saturday 21 November; date and venue to be confirmed. Kevin Corey memorial tournament will take place this weekend for under 16 girls contact Fergal/ Maureen/ Lucy for details. There will be a night at the races in Leo’s on Friday 13th at 9.30pm to support the Ladies All Ireland Club campaign. £10 per horse or £25 to sponsor a race you can give your horse names and money to any member of the senior ladies and management. There will be a ladies committee meeting 11th November at 7pm. Men’s monthly committee meeting in Glenelly House Sunday night at 7.00pm. The Ladies Ulster Intermediate club final v Donaghmoyne B takes place on Sunday in Killyclogher at 2.30pm. Good luck to the players and management. Under 16 girls play Cappagh in Strabane on Friday 6th November at 7.30pm in championship final. All support welcome for these games. The Kevin Corey Memorial Tournament (U 13 Boys)takes place this Saturday 7 November in Plumbridge commencing at 11.30am. Night at the races in Leo’s bar 13th November at 9.30pm. Men’s committee meeting in Glenelly house Sunday 15th at 7pm where collection of trophies from last year’s dinner dance will take place and also first aid kits from each team. Congratulations to the U16 girls who have made it through to the Championship final. They are at home to Drumragh this Sunday 1st Nov in the League Semi-final; the game is at 3.00pm and all support is welcome. Well done to all who participated in Scor na nog and many thanks for all the support from parents. Congratulations to Both Domhnaigh Instrumental Group and Dearbhla Scallion representing Both Domhnaigh in solo singing who are through to the County final on Sun. 8th Nov in Killeeshil at 3.00pm. The Ladies Ulster Intermediate club final v Donaghmoyne B is fixed for Sunday 8 November. Venue TBC. Congratulations to our Club Secretary and County PRO Eunan Lindsay who has been shortlisted for the Ulster GAA Writers’ Association Communications Award. The Senior Ladies progressed to the Ulster Intermediate Club final with a comprehensive victory over Lisnaskea at home on Saturday. The Seniors lost out to Owen Roes in the promotion play-off which brings the Senior and Reserve season to a close. Thanks to the players and management for their efforts this season. The club wishes our players who sustained injuries, on Saturday and Sunday, speedy recoveries. Thanks to all the volunteers who helped out over the weekend at the two home fixtures. Glenelly ladies play Clann na nGael in the league final in Owen Roes on Saturday 24th October at 4pm, all support welcome. Under 16 girls play Loughmacrory in the championship semi-final at 12pm on Sunday 25th October in Loughmacrory. Voting is now open for the TeamTalk All Star Awards. Good luck to the Senior Ladies and management who face Lisnaskea on Saturday 17th October at 2pm in Plumbridge in the Ulster Club Intermediate Semi-final, please come along to support the girls. The Seniors play Owen Roes at home on Sunday at 3.30pm in the promotion play-offs. Congratulations to our competitors who are through to the next round of Scor na nOg on Sun. 25th Oct in Dun Uladh. Thank you to all their parents who travelled to Cookstown to see them compete. Congratulations to Eoghan McConnell who represented the Club in the Mini Games played during the halftime break of last Sunday’s Senior County Final. Congratulations to Cormac and RóiseMae McBride who along with Dearbhla & Bronach Scallon, collectively known as Both Domhnaigh Instrumental Music Group, who provided the musical entertainment at last Sunday’s Senior County Final. The Seniors and Reserves have away fixtures against Clann na Gael on Saturday. Senior game at 3.30pm and Reserve 5pm. Congratulations to the Senior Ladies who defeated Lissumon on Sunday, they now face Lisnaskea at home in the Ulster semi-final on 17th October at 2pm. Many thanks to the Kennedy’s of Sperrin Solar Panels for sponsoring new training tops for the Senior Ladies. Under 16 girls will soon begin their championship campaign. Mothers & Others will host a tea/coffee morning on the 11th October in Plumbridge Hall at 11.30am – 1pm, donations are towards new tops for the team. Well done to our U 10s who topped their Group, reaching the quarter finals of the Cup competition of the Cappagh U 10 tournament, to only miss out on a semi-final spot by the smallest of margins. Many thanks to Cappagh Youth for their organisation and hospitality.

Congratulations to the Reserve Team and Management who won the 2015 Junior Reserve Championship with a 2.5 to 2.4 win over Fintona. The Senior Ladies face Armagh Champions Lissummon at 2pm on Sunday in Lissummon in the first round of the Ulster Club Championship. Bus leaving Plumbridge 9.30am sharp at the pitch. Contact Lucy or any of the ladies committee if you’d like to go watch £5 for bus and £5 for optional breakfast along the way. Best of luck to the girls on their Ulster campaign. Training for the U 6s, U8s & U 10s has concluded for the season; we hope to see everyone (and more) back in the not too distant future. Many thanks to the coaches and parents for all their help and assistance throughout the year. It is really important that the Club have the support of the parents at these age groups going forward. The Tyrone County Board will be rolling out a number of courses / workshops over the winter months which will provide an opportunity for those wishing to get involved in coaching of our U6 to U 10 players. So anyone interested in getting involved in coaching for next season they should forward their details to the Club’s Youth Officer (Fergal McAneney 028 81647878). The U 10s participate in the Cappagh Tournament this Saturday 3rd October in Killyclogher. Players to meet at the pitch for 9.20 departing for Killyclogher at 9.30. Players are also advised to bring a packed lunch. Ladies Monthly Meeting this Friday night at 8.45pm. Men’s Monthly Meeting takes place this Sunday at 7.00PM Please note change of times. The Club would like to congratulate Shane Meehan who refereed the Tyrone Senior Semi-Final in Pomeroy last Sunday. We hope to run an Irish Language Class shortly and enrolment will take place at 8.00PM this Friday night in the Clubrooms. If you’ve always wanted to learn "cupla focal" in a fun-filled environment, then this is your big chance! Class size is strictly limited so it’s a case of first come, first served. We would like to thank our Youth Coaches and Parents for all their hard work over the season. The Seniors and Reserves have away fixtures against Newtownstewart on Saturday. Senior game at 4.30pm, Reserve at 6pm. The Replay of the Reserve final takes place on Sunday in Pomeroy at 3.15pm. The Senior Ladies defeated Sperrin Og 7-9 to 4-7 in the league semi-final. They play Clann na Gael in the final. Well done to our U10s who reached the quarter final stage of the Strabane Sigersons Gerald O’Doherty Memorial Cup last Saturday. Many thanks to Strabane for their organisation and hospitality. Training continues on Thursday at 6.30 pm for the U6s, U8s and U 10s (boys and girls) finishing at 7.30pm; all new players welcome. The U 8s have their last remaining blitz of the season which is most likely to be in Garvaghey. Further details to be provided at training on Thurs. The U13s played Omagh on Tuesday night.
