The Seniors and Reserves have away fixtures v Fintona on Sunday. Reserve game at 2.15pm, Senior game 3.45pm. The senior ladies are away to Aodh Ruadh, Dungannon on Thursday evening at 7 pm, all support welcome. Training continues for senior ladies at the usual times. Training has commenced for the under 16 girls on Thursday and Monday evenings at 7.30 pm. All new players welcome. Mothers and others have training on Monday evenings at 7.30 pm.Training continues on Thursday evening 6.30pm to 7.30pm for all U6s, U8s and U 10s (boys and girls). Glenelly is hosting the U 10 blitz this Saturday and accordingly we would appreciate if parents could assist with refreshments for the travelling teams. Well done to our U 8s who took part in the blitz last Saturday and many thanks to Owen Roes for their hospitality. The Tyrone Summer Camp takes place on the 18th to 21st July and is open to all children between 5 and 14 years of age. Please ensure to have your Summer Camp application form submitted before Friday 24th June to avoid a late registration fee; children can also register online at http://tyronegaacentre.com/tyrone-gaa-summer-camps/ Keep free Sunday 10th July for our Funday Sunday on the pitch. Events include Children Sportsday, Learn-To-Jive and all the traditional sideshows. The highlight of the day will be our Pig-Racing Pork Chop Derby. This is where fortunes could be won, or lost! Pigs will shortly be on sale and we would urge everyone to support this fund raising venture. Just a reminder that our Golf Classic takes place on Saturday 10th September in Newtownstewart and our Jigs & Reels on the weekend of 22nd October. The training and practice for this dance extravaganza should commence in early August
Hi all we are distributing the Pig Racing Cards on Thursday evening (23rd June) at 6.30PM in the Clubrooms. As this is potentially a major fund raiser for the club we would appreciate if you would take one card per family and sell your ten pigs as quickly as possible.
Also there is an open meeting to arrange our Funday Sunday on Monday night at 9.00PM in the Clubrooms. If you have ideas/suggestions we’d like to hear from you on the night

Well done to the senior ladies who defeated Sperrin Og on Saturday evening after a very competitive game. Training continues of Wednesday evening at 8 pm. The girls face Cappagh this Friday 17th June at 8.15 pm in the preliminary round of the Championship in Drumragh. Well done to the mothers and others who hosted Drumragh and Saval for a blitz on Sunday morning. Training continues for this team on Monday evenings. The under 12s have a Go-games fixture against neighbours Clann na nGael on Thursday 16th June at 7pm in Plumbridge. St Peter’s Primary School Plumbridge are hosting a ‘Bring & Buy Sale’ and Coffee Afternoon in the Primary School on Wednesday 22 June from 1pm – 3pm in aid of school funds- everyone welcome! There will be a short Committee meeting on Thursday at 7.30 and all members are urged to attend. The main item on the agenda is preparing for a Funday Sunday in mid-July so if you have any good ideas, we would like to hear from you. Whilst attention is now focused on raising funds for the Club we would like to extend a Cead Mile Failte to any new members of Cairde Ghleann Eallaigh who have joined us recently. And to anyone who has still to join please do so, please contact any Committee member as soon as possible. There are still a few spaces for our Jigs & Reels that is scheduled for mid-October and we are making a special appeal to some of the footballing fraternity to don their dancing shoes and step up to the mark. Important dates to remember are – Funday Sunday 10th July, our Golf Classic in Newtownstewart Saturday 10th September, and Jigs & Reels 22nd October. We would like to thank the Mothers & Others who provided the refreshments for last Sunday’s matches in Plumbridge. Congratulations to Alice Bradley, who won our Half Time Draw last Sunday, and also to Donny Mc Bride, our Friend of the Month for June. Special word of mention to St Peter’s Primary School who participated in the Tyrone County Finals in Garvaghey – a magnificent achievement by one and all! Well done to our U 8s and U 10s who took part in the mini-game during the half time interval of the Men’s Senior Game last Sunday. The U 10s have a blitz this Saturday; details of venue etc to be provided at training. The Club wish to extend congratulations to the P7 children of St Peter’s Primary School in reaching the finals of the Cumann na mBunscol Tyrone and to wish them all the best in the finals which take place on the 15th June in Garvaghey. The managers would like to thank the girls for all their hard work throughout the season and are very proud of their progression. The senior ladies were unfortunately defeated by a very strong Errigal Ciaran side on Sunday evening. They will now play Sperrin Og this Saturday at 7pm in Greencastle. Training for mothers and others continues on Monday evenings at 7pm. Congratulations to Patricia-Anne and Stephen Murray on the birth of their baby girl Catherine. The club extends our sympathies to the family of Sister Mary Philomena McGillion.

The senior ladies are scheduled to play Errigal Ciaran this Saturday, 5th June at 7.30 pm in Plumbridge.Training continues for the U6s, U8s & U 10s (boys and girls) on Thursday 6.30pm to 7.30pm. Well done to our U 8s who took part in the blitz last Saturday in Greencastle. Many thanks to the St Patricks Club for their hospitality. Also well done to our young players who took part in the mini-game during the half time interval of the Men’s Senior Game last Sunday.Well done to Siobhan Sheerin and the rest of the Tyrone ladies senior team who beat Fermanagh at the weekend. Training for seniors continues at the regular times. The under 14s will play St Macartan’s this Thursday, 2nd June in Plumbridge at 7pm in the preliminary round of the Championship. They were unfortunately defeated by a strong Fontana side last week in their league fixture. Training for mothers and other continues on Monday evenings at 7pm, all new members welcome. Men’s Committee Meeting takes place this Sunday evening at 7.00PM – venue yet to be decided. All Committee members are urged to attend. The Seniors and Reserves have home fixtures against Rock on Sunday. Senior game first at 1pm followed by Reserves. Training continues on Thursday evening 6.30pm to 7.30pm for all U6s, U8s and U 10s (boys and girls). More support is required from parents particularly with regard to the coaching of the U6s. The U8s have a blitz this Saturday; further details to be provided at training. It is also hoped to have our U 8s & U 10s play at half time of the Men’s Senior Game this weekend; again further details to be provided at training. Congratulations to the Senior Ladies squad of 2015 who were awarded Team of the Year in the Derry City and Strabane District Council sports awards hosted in the Everglades last week. Training continues on Thursday evening 6.30pm to 7.30pm for all U6s, U8s and U 10s (boys and girls). More support is required from parents particularly with regard to the coaching of the U6s. The U10s have a blitz this Saturday; further details to be provided at training. Hard luck to the minor and under 14 girls who were defeated in last week’s fixtures. The minor girls will play Cooktown Fr. Rocks, this Saturday 21st May in Plumbridge at 5pm. There are no under 14 fixtures this week. The senior ladies take on St Macartan’s on Wednesday night, 18th May in Plumbridge at 7 pm. Training continues at usual on Friday night and Sunday. Hard luck to Ann McGarvery and Aoife McConnell who were part of the Tyrone minor panel who were unfortunately beaten by Armagh in the Ulster Final. The Club are organising a Monster Bingo Session in St Pat’s Hall Strabane on Friday 27th May at 9.00PM. There will be £3,500 in prizes and your support would be very welcome. Our Cairde Membership is continuing to grow and we would appeal to anyone who would still like to join to contact any Committee member as soon as possible. With our ambitious plans to acquire a new playing and training area for the benefit of all our youth within our community, we would urge all those Glenelly players, both past and present, parents, family members and supporters to support this very worthwhile venture. As part of our Festival Festivities pencilled in for mid-July, we are urging anyone with ideas and who would like to help out in any way to contact any Committee member as soon as possible. This will be a fun filled event that is open to everyone to participate- you dont have to be a member of Glenelly St Joseph’s to take part. The Seniors and Reserves have home fixtures on Sunday against Beragh at 2.15pm and 3.45pm. Well done to minors on their win over Gael Naomh Padraig in Championship QF. Semi v Owen Roes in 2 weeks possibly. The senior ladies were narrowly defeated on Sunday evening by Killeeshil on a score line of 1-8 to 1-6. Training continues for senior ladies on Wednesday and Friday evenings. The next league fixture is arranged for 13th May away to Omagh at 7pm. The under 14 girls play Dromore this Thursday (5th May) at 7pm in Dromore. The minor girls were unfortunately defeated by Sperrin Og last week after a very strong performance on a score line of 5-5 to 3-13.

Training commences this Thursday evening (down at the pitch) at 6.30pm for all U 6s, U 8s and U 10s (boys and girls) – it is important that parents are in attendance to assist with the coaching. Also the first Go-Games blitz for the U 8s takes place this Saturday in Gortin – further details will be provided at training. Well done to the Senior ladies who got their league campaign of to a winning start on Sunday evening, defeating Carrickmore by 2-9 to 2-2. Training continues on a Wednesday night at 8 pm and Friday night at the usual time. The next league game will take place on Sunday 1st May in Plumbirdge against Killeeshil at 7 pm. The under 14s will play Strabane on Thursday night at 6.45pm. There will be a Committee Meeting this Friday night at 8.45 in the Clubrooms. All Committee members are asked to attend.
