The Men’s AGM take place this Sunday (8th) at 5.30PM sharp in Plumbridge Hall followed by the Ladies EGM at approximately 7.30PM. If you have a genuine interest in the future well-being and development of Glenelly GFC then you will make an effort to attend both/either AGM. It’s important that everyone plays his/her part in the promotion of our Gaelic Games in our Valley. At the beginning of the New Year we would like to give a particular mention to our Cairde Ghleann Eallaigh members whose monthly contributions are proving invaluable in furnishing the substantial debt that is currently hanging over the Club. Go raibh mile maith agaibh go leir. To anyone who has not yet joined – both home and abroad – it’s only £10 per month and your financial help would be really appreciated. Please play your part in the promotion of Glenelly GFC. It’s important to give something back, and one day our youth will thank us for it! Check out our Club Website www.glenellygaa.com for further details. We are currently promoting our GAA fundraiser draw and we are asking our Senior players, our Cairde and Club members, to sell just one book each – every book contains 5 tickets@£10 each, and 100% of the proceeds of tickets sales remain within the Club! Athbhliain faoi mhaise daoibh We would like to wish everyone a Happy and prosperous New Year and we were delighted to meet up with many of our relatives and friends who had travelled many miles to be in Glenelly during the festive period. We continue to think of anyone who may have lost friends or relatives recently, or who may be recovering from illness at this particular time – our thoughts and prayers are with you.

"Nollaig shona dhaoibh!" A very happy and peaceful Christmas to all of our families friends and supporters both here and across the world. To those who are returning to Glenelly for the festive period "Failte ar ais aris!" However, we are also very mindful of families and friends who may be encountering particular difficulties and worries at this time – our thoughts and prayers are with you. "Go raibh maith agaibh go leir" to everyone who travelled from distance to attend our Mass for deceased relatives in Plumbridge last Sunday, and particular thanks to Father Donnelly, Orla and Conor for helping to make the occasion so special.
